My Approach

Every behavior tells a story. My job is to help families understand not just what their child is struggling with, but why — and what to do about it.

Children don't choose to struggle.

Every behavior tells a story.

Rather than simply treating symptoms, I evaluate how muscle function, breathing, sensory processing, tongue, lips, jaw, posture, physical development, regulation, and communication work together. When families understand WHY a challenge exists, therapy becomes more meaningful and progress becomes easier to support at home.

What I look at

Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I evaluate how all of these systems work together — because they do.

Muscle function

Tongue, lips, jaw, and cheeks — how they move and coordinate

Oral-motor development

Strength, range of motion, and coordination for feeding and speech

Sensory processing

How the child responds to textures, tastes, sounds, and touch

Breathing patterns

Nasal vs. mouth breathing and its effect on feeding and speech

Posture & movement

Core stability, head control, and how the body supports oral function

Regulation

Arousal, attention, and the nervous system's role in feeding and communication

Why in-home therapy matters

Children learn best in the environments where they actually live. When therapy happens at home, I can observe your child during real meals, real routines, and real moments of challenge — not a simulated clinic setting.

This means strategies are built around your kitchen, your table, your child's favorite foods, and your family's daily rhythm. Progress carries over because it was built there in the first place.

A consultation is the first step. We'll talk through what you're seeing, and I'll help you make sense of it.
